Sometimes smaller boats can't handle the rough seas and must be towed back to harbor. On this Memorial Day the seas were a bit rough and this boat needed to be rescued. Coast Gaurd was over an hour away, so Stef & Heidi of Santuary Cruises offered to help at the expensence of their time, fuel and comfort of several sea-sick passengers on their boat. The rescue was handled very professionally and the scorpion was brought safely into harbor. Rumor has it that they didn't even say thanks for the rescue - but I'm hoping that's wrong.
I have been involved with one other boat tow rescue and can tell you that this one was done with safety of the passengers & boats involved. You can see my last boat tow experience at click here
